Before graduating University, I had 6 years experience of part time jobs across retail, sport and catering. At University I worked in promotion and marketing roles for different bars and clubs around the area.I did a year long marketing internship for sia Abrasives, part of the Bosch group. I was project manager for 3 separate trade shows. This included developing marketing strategy for the trade shows specifically for certain products in order to target certain customers; as well as assessing the correct methods in order to depict our products. At sia I gained experience using Wordpress, Mailchimp and extensive use of Microsoft Office applications. Another major task I had was helping to produce 2 separate product catalogues for sia, including the design of the catalogues and the appropriate text.My first position after graduation was as a social media executive on a 5 month temporary contract. I managed 8 key accounts, liaising with all 8 in order to create marketing strategy developing engaging and creative social media content to aid strategy across all accounts using Hootsuite. The role also entailed producing monthly social media reports for each account including statistics and recommendations regarding optimising post engagement on both paid promotions and unpaid posts.After the contract ended, I was appointed marketing assistant at market leaders, Killgerm. I was event manager for Killgerm events all across the UK; including their analysis. I also frequently undertook market research in order to develop marketing strategy and campaigns to ensure we stay one step ahead of competition.After just over 2 years at Killgerm, I was appointed by STRI Group as marketing communications co-ordinator. I continue to work here in this role and am responsible for producing marketing communications strategy in order to meet corporate aims and objectives, including management of the STRI, EPG, and Carrick Sports Surfaces websites and social media channels including sourcing and developing content, uploading of content, setting and management of paid advertising budgets with accountability for results. I also take ownership of the Groups tactical digital marketing plans including email, blog, newsletters and video and am the lead marketing representative on key new business projects, working alongside the project management team and wider departments to ensure we are gaining maximum internal and external marketing exposure during the lifespan of the project and upon project completion.
