Wu Yee's mission is to create opportunities for children to be healthy, for families to thrive, and for communities to be strong. They serve over 4,000 children, families, and child care providers each year.Accomplishments: -Managed a caseload of 35-70 families each program year, double that of the standard FAs.-Coordinated workshops for all 70 families in English, Spanish and Chinese, promoting healthy eating, better parenting, continued learning, financial budgeting, and special education services.-Promoted family wellness and parental involvement for all Wu Yee parents, while acting as liaison between teachers/parents/agencies for health & family services.Responsibilities:-Collaborating with families, staff, and community agencies to identify and meet all the needs of our children and families. -Collaborating with our Center Manager and ERSEA to identify and recruit families into the program, including recruiting children with disabilities and special needs.-Assisting and advising families while transitioning in/out of Wu Yee’s program, and ensuring consistent care throughout the program.-Learning and building on Early Head Start/Head Start Program Performance Standards, DoE requirements, and Wu Yee’s own Child Development policies and procedures.-Developing and maintaining databases for all documents in our dual-funded program.-Educating parents and connecting them to outside resources and agencies -Planning screenings and evaluations for all children in the program, as well as completing all supplementary documentation-Performing follow-up services as required by Wu Yee and educating parents on results/follow-up services.

Easter Seals offers help, hope and answers to more than a million children and adults living with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other disabilities or special needs and their families each year. Each center provides exceptional services that are individualized, innovative, family-focused and tailored to meet specific needs of the particular community served.Accomplishments:-Received the Easter Seal of Approval for excellency in clinical skills and professionals with clients.-Implemented new and innovative ways to provide play & talk therapy alongside traditional ABA-Developed 1:1 specialized behavioral intervention services to a caseload of 8 in home, in natural settings, and in school environments.-Providing support as a substitute therapist for children as needed by the agency. Responsibilities: -Providing discipline-specific ABA treatment for children with developmental delays, disabilities, and autism spectrum disorders (ASD).-Monitoring the development of children in natural settings according to treatment plan goals.-Using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA ) for behavioral intervention with families and children.-Ensuring effective communication and collaboration for support staff in completing programs, participant evaluations, and reports.-Participating in professional development and continued education programs and trainings

The Infant Research and Cognitive Development Lab at UCSD conducts research on cognitive, linguistic, and social development in infants and children. Conducted research on the development of Spanish and English verbal an non-verbal language in infants and toddlers. Accomplishments:-Performed research directly under Dr. Gedeon Deák, director of the Cognitive Development Lab.-Developed several community outreach programs to recruit participants for future experiments.-Managed the lab’s data collection and database maintenance for ongoing experiments.Responsibilities:-Coding bilingual ethnographic reports in both English and Spanish from videos and live subjects.-Conducting hospitality and screening families for participation in research experiments.-Creating filing systems and protocol to streamline future experiments and outreach.-Learn and adhere to UC Human Research Protocol-Completed coursework in associated classes in order to develop a greater understanding of the subject.

Cottage Industry imports world artistry from over 58 countries, promoting the ‘people who make things by hand and keep their tradition.’ Working with thousands of artisans and creators, the store stocks a plethora of art, furniture, and items for every desire. Accomplishments:-Grew from Sales Associate to Assistant Manager over the course of 8 months.-Managed thousands of dollars worth of wholesale orders and inventory.-Developed a marketing plan and social media team for the store and its e-commerce website.Responsibilities:-Selling all fine arts and antiques in the store.-Managing finances and bookkeeping for travel expenses, imports, and wholesale orders.-Maintaining knowledge and documentation on all products solid in store, including cultural significance and/or history.-Developing creative storefront displays to attract new customers and retain old customers.

The Woman's Building is a safe space for all individuals in San Francisco with a focus on community building and non-profit networking. The Woman's Building has nine organizations within one that rotate based not the needs of the community. They have created a community resource room with a variety of programs including free computer and phone access, legal assistance, tax preparation, food bank, career counseling and much more. Accomplishments:-Facilitated community outreach programs, such as Habla Conmigo — a free program for Spanish-speaking parents of children with speech or linguistic delays.-Orchestrated bilingual employment workshops to create resumes and cover letters.-Collaborated with speech pathologists on several other bilingual speech development workshops for preschool children with developmental delays.-Orchestrated a team of volunteers for a tax assistance program sponsored by the Women’s Building.Responsibilities:-Assisting community outreach and developing systems for future bilingual outreach programs.-Designing and distributing pamphlets to promote all programs offered at the Women’s Building.-Organizing and directing the Women’s Building Food Pantry.
