A privately held supplier that designs, develops and manufactures complex, decorated, trim system assemblies for the international automotive market. Direct all technical aspects including quotes, product design and engineering new programs for grille assemblies, tailgate appliques, and body side moldings. Responsible for the engineering budget, product design and development, ergonomics and safety, prototype, testing, metrology, customer technical interface and program management in concert with staff size planning. Cascade corporate organizational objectives. Manage the continuous improvement of the engineering and program management teams with 10 direct reports while establishing accountability. Report to the Vice President.• Successfully launched 150-200 world-class assemblies annually for GM, Ford, Stellantis and Toyota in collaboration with 12 manufacturing locations employing ~ 1,800 team members through the Lacks Product Development Process.• Led the Advanced Product Quality Planning process creating robust verification and validation processes to reduce risks related to new designs and incorporating lessons learned to drive improvement.• Guided 90 team members in Design For Manufacturing activities in concert with our molding, plating, painting and assembly capabilities. • Improved new program launch process timing by 5%. • Successfully launched a record 97 new mold tools for the FCA full-size truck program on time.
