I began learning classical training on the cello when I was 10 years old. Discovering that I excelled at it (and loved it), I began taking private lessons. I soon became the principal cellist of my chamber high school ensemble and received an I/II rating as a soloist, cello duo, and quartet at the Washington Music Educators Association's regional solo and ensemble contest for six years in a row. In addition, I joined the Maple Valley Youth Symphony Orchestra, became the principal cellist of the Elite Strings quartet, and eventually principal cellist of the Symphony Orchestra. My mom signed me up for Girl Scouts in kindergarten, and I didn't stop going to meetings until I was a senior in high school, as well as volunteering as a camp counselor for the local Maple Valley Girl Scouts Day Camp. The camp director tasked me with coming up with a brand new music unit for all age groups (5-15) with crafts and songs for each grade. It went tremendously well and is still implemented at the camp today. Throughout high school, I gained extensive customer service experience as a cashier/host at various food industry chains. After graduating in 2017 with my high school diploma and my Associate of Arts degree from Green River College, I was hired at Costco Wholesale as a seasonal employee and after three months was offered a competitive full-time cashier position. After Costco, I took a solo trip to Europe for four months and traveled around, volunteering at a few Workaway locations in Ireland, Spain, and Greece. Once I returned, I returned to school and auditioned for the Western Washington Symphony Orchestra, beginning my official Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance and Education. I attended from 2019 to 2021, completing two years of my degree. I've now relocated to Los Angeles, CA, and looking for a full-time position that drives me to reach my fullest potential and allows me to funnel my hard work into a company that supports my need to grow and excel within.
