Currently I am a Principal Systems Engineer. My work within this role spans quite far. I have been working on everything from standing up or migrating infrastructure for our game and service teams using AWS, to building solutions for them as well. I maintain a few services I’ve built for Zynga. Notable accomplishments:• Led a team to setup full server infrastructure and scaled up capacity for two new acquired games Dawn of Titans and CSR2. Both Dawn of Titans and CSR2 have launched in App/Android store.• Created a Splunk-friendly Apple App Store review central retrieval program in which all our games now use to utilize review metrics.• Created an application to prune all our archived game data according to a storage retention policy. The application supports pruning and validation of hundreds of terabytes of data.• Spearheaded many migrations of our top tier games as well as platform services during our datacenter consolidation and AWS move effort saving our company well over $4 million dollars. • Created interactive training procedures for our partner teams on many aspects of Membase and Couchbase which includes migrations, capacity planning and troubleshooting. • Architected a company-wide Grafana solution which automatically launches and full ready-to-use AWS stack using CloudFormation. All our games and services use this service to monitor their systems and application metrics.• Architected a LVM thin-pool online-resizing solution for use with EBS, which removes the need for restarting applications normally incurred in this process.• Built out our central AWS AMI solution that pre-packs AMIs with company configuration for game and services teams to use. Most of our teams use these AMIs.

Documented game support requirements for our teams and provided them centralized support ranging from executive projects down to newly launching games and infrastructure. Deployed mass configurations using SVN and Puppet to tens of thousands of nodes for infrastructure and game updates.Configured new deployments for teams, and utilizing RightScale to online their nodes. Configured and launched the monitoring infrastructure for many of our new and existing games then worked with the game teams on launch-day to ensure their launches went according to their set plans.Designated one week-per-month on call responsibilities for our teams for any escalations. Worked on updating many of our day-to-day operational scripts, and worked on projects to enhance our current monitoring infrastructure mostly using Perl and PHP.Notable accomplishments:• Spearhead the SSL initiative to make sure all our games had SSL enabled on their infrastructure as required by Facebook.• Worked to provide full documentation and procedures for one of our older Poker games where there was none. Worked them to integrate their l alert documentation per service check in Nagios for quick triaging.• First on team to migrate one of our larger games (CityVille) to our private cloud from AWS.• First to work with our newly acquired asset OMGPOP. They didn’t have any sort of presence on our infrastructure and worked with the CEO/CTO/Leads to get
