Fish joined InterTrust as its 13th employee, partnering with founder Victor Shear (and many others) to take InterTrust from start-up to a Nasdaq-traded company, ultimately acquired by Sony and Philips in 2002. From 1996 - 2002 Fish also served on the Board of Directors for the Company. As Senior Operating officer, Fish led productization and operations efforts for the first global DRM deployment; and helped establish the Company's operations, marketing, business development and other departments. Fish actively participated in InterTrust's IPO and secondary offerings (led by CS First Boston), which raised more than $250M. Finally, Fish's responsibilities in Corporate Development & legal included InterTrust’s patent creation and licensing efforts including widespread licensing throughout the industry.
