PhD in Science and Technology Policy from UNICAMP, Edgar Barassa is a highly experienced professional with a strong background in e-mobility, renewable energies, and low carbon green emerging technologies. With a focus on energy transition and innovation governance, he excels in technological foresight and new business development.Edgar's expertise is demonstrated through his notable contributions to the field. His doctoral thesis analyzed opportunities for e-mobility in Brazil and played a pivotal role in the development of the National Electromobility Plan Proposal (2018). He also coordinated discussions for Route 2030 and prepared the first Roadmap for electric vehicles (2018). Furthermore, Edgar actively participated in the creation of the National EMobility Platform (2019).In addition to his academic accomplishments, Edgar has worked with organizations such as the German Cooperation GIZ, CPFL Energia and AES Brasil on Projetos P&D Aneel, CEPAL, ABRAPS. Edgar's entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish two successful ventures: Barassa & Cruz Consulting, a consulting company focused on electromobility, renewable energies, and emerging low-carbon technologies, and Otsmah – Sustainable Energy Resources, a technology company specializing in Recharge Infrastructure projects, Photovoltaic Systems, and Energy Efficiency.During his tenure as a visiting researcher at the University of Bordeaux in 2016, Edgar contributed to global projects related to technological prospecting and strategic analysis of new low carbon and renewable technologies. Currently, he is pursuing a Post Doctoral degree in Innovation, Strategies, and Regulation for electric mobility.Beyond his professional endeavors, Edgar is the founder of Amparar (2015), an association dedicated to promoting and supporting families and individuals in vulnerable situations in the city of Campinas and the surrounding region.Edgar possesses a comprehensive skill set, including clean transportation innovation strategy design, prospection of technical solutions in the field of renewable energy, business model designing, risk assessment of new green technologies, and foresight and technology roadmapping.
