As Petroleum Engineer/ Production Engineer Advisor, I work as part of a multidisciplinary team (Geologist, Petrophysicist, Reservoir Engineers, Chemical Engineer, and Monitoring and Control Engineers) in the conceptual phase for Heavy Oil Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) projects, involving the application of a new technology. This includes everything related to developing operational procedures for its implementation, which encompasses geological model studies, properties of the zones where the technology will be injected, analysis and selection of injection patterns, estimation of recoverable reserves, and economic analysis upon request.As a member of the production engineering team, I focus on reactivating wells, conducting comprehensive well reviews, and performing nodal analysis to recommend optimal completion designs for achieving maximum production rates. I also take on the role of project manager, where I prepare proposals for seismic re-processing and interpretation, reserves evaluation, and studies for different clients. Additionally, I am part of a team responsible for new business development, interacting with potential new clients for EGV Solutions.Snr. Production Engineer (Gulf of Mexico), I worked on the design, execution, and interpretation of production well tests (DST) for offshore wells. I also conducted well modeling and simulation using Prosper software, estimating the expected oil production per well for various tubing IDs. I developed Prosper models for wells that were to be completed in the Cretaceous and Jurassic Formations, both of which are carbonate formations.Given that this was a new asset without existing facilities, I was responsible for preparing technical-economic RFQ/Bids for ESP procurement, completion components, pneumatic actuated chokes, and well services such as stimulation, perforation, slick line, wireline, and coiled tubing.

As Petroleum Engineer Advisor, I worked on production well tests (active wells) aimed at enhancing the behavior of each well, with the goal of optimizing their oil production rate based on well completion design, production pressures, static pressure (when available), completed intervals, shooting density, reservoir complexity, gas lift and beam pump system optimization. This involved identifying and restoring lost production to ensure efficient and optimal well performance. I designed solutions for production enhancement, including water shut-off, chemical treatments, and more.Furthermore, I focused on identifying economic and feasible workover candidates (both active and inactive wells) to enhance production in mature fields. This effort was geared towards delivering the highest value to the company. Additionally, I conducted Production Transient Analysis (PTA) to identify reservoir parameters such as permeability, skin factor, reservoir extension, and reserves estimation whenever the necessary data was available.

As Snr. Production Engineer and Snr. Reservoir Engineer, I worked as part of the production/WOFEL team, which consisted of Completion Engineers, Production Engineers, a Reservoir Engineer, and a Geologist. My responsibilities included conducting analyses and well modeling using Prosper and GAP software. I also engaged in troubleshooting, redesigning well completions, and optimizing gas lift systems and PCP systems for existing wells. The aim was to identify and restore lost production to ensure efficient and optimal production performance, while also devising solutions for production enhancement.Furthermore, I explored new opportunities to increase production by identifying economically viable workover candidates, encompassing both active and inactive wells. This effort was dedicated to achieving the highest possible value for the company. Additionally, I contributed by providing training and facilitating technology transfer to PETROTRIN professionals, thereby adding value to the organization.

As Snr. Production Technologist (Snr. Production Engineer), I participated in a CO2 injection project design as a member of a multidisciplinary team. My responsibilities included designing CO2 injection wells (patterns) for a Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) project using Prosper/GAP. This involved considering various tubing sizes while adhering to the source injection pressure constraint. The primary objective was to determine the optimal well count to achieve a specific daily rate of CO2 injection into the chosen reservoir. I calculated the Volumetric Reservoir Ratio for Production Allocation Diagrams (PADs) and patterns (polygons), and created calculated variables in OFM software.I conducted risk integrity analyses on legacy wells to ensure their suitability for CO2 injection with minimal associated risk. Additionally, I contributed to a H2S project, collaborating within a team to devise a safe approach for producing H2S wells (currently shut in). The aim was to meet emission regulatory laws for this gas in Louisiana State, thereby bringing these wells back into production to enhance the field's oil rate.I took charge of gas lift wells in the Louisiana area, focusing on troubleshooting, re-designing, and optimizing jobs for production rates and gas injection. These activities were tailored to each well's unique circumstances. I also used Pipesim software to model gas lift wells, aiming to enhance the injection system.Furthermore, I was involved in the Bulk Separator project and a new bulk line project, both of which were designed to minimize bottleneck issues in the field.

As Snr. Surveillance Engineer, identify deviations from the standard well operations and took charge of well control and artificial lift optimization. Using Prosper/Gap software, Several wells were optimized increasing production reducing gas injection rates. These tasks included developing new completion programs, designing artificial lift systems, creating work-over programs, and implementing well stimulation. Additionally, I served as the upstream production engineer supervisor for a steam injection project utilizing the Huff, Soak & Puff method.Through the assessment of well test data and analysis of downhole information, It was provided valuable insights into the operation of beam pump wells, gas lift wells, and naturally flowing wells. It was recommended actions such as Acid Fracturing and matrix stimulation to enhance the performance of each well in the area under my supervision.

As Snr. Production Engineer & Snr. Reservoir Engineer Team Coordinator,conduct well nodal analyses and optimized artificial lift systems using software such as Pipesim, QRod, TWM, and Prosper, particularly for Carbonate Formations containing dolomite and limestone. This optimization contributed to enhancing the production of the assets, resulting in a remarkable 35% increase in production.My responsibilities extended to analyzing active and inactive wells, as well as those with low productivity indexes, to formulate and execute workover proposals and procedures. This process involved a comprehensive evaluation, including detailed assessments, proposing recompletions, conducting new log runs, interpreting existing well logs, analyzing geological data, and estimating volumetric reserves.Furthermore, nodal analyzes were conducted, simulating both existing and new designs, optimizing the artificial lift systems. The overall goal was to achieve optimal production from these wells, further contributing to overall production enhancement.

As Snr. Reservoir Engineer for Exploration Wells, responsible for overseeing the logging program and acting as the supervisor for well testing using Saphir software for SOCO's assets during their drilling operations in the offshore Marine XI permit area. This involved dealing with a carbonate formation (an unconventional reservoir) characterized by very low permeability and generally poor petrophysical properties. I conducted reserves calculations for SOCO's wells and interpreted MDT (Modular Dynamic Testing) data, which included open hole pressure interpretations, revealing compartmentalization zones.Additionally, nodal analysis simulations were performed to optimize the production of vertical and horizontal wells, using Prosper software.

As Reservoir Engineer consultant, performing reserve and Remaining Oil Reserves (EUR) estimation for several fields/reservoirs located in Libya, through decline curves analysis. Design, execution and analysis of Build-Up tests. Recommend production enhancement techniques to produce wells in unconventional reservoirs, such as hydraulic fracturing and matrix stimulation, to improve dry gas and gas condensate production. Plunger lift performance follows up (unconventional reservoir). As Reservoir Engineer Team Leader performed reserves Estimation-Material Balance. This work consisted in checking the injection pressure, injection depth, volume injected, as well as depth where the pumps were being installed, capability of the pumps and volume handled for them, finding the main problems solving them and recommending the best specifications of installation to avoid continuous failures of the pumps.Also includes, freelance consultant for PDVSA, and Perez Companc as reservoir and production engineer for fields in southern Venezuela.
