My focus extends beyond creating visually appealing designs to encompass the broader scope of strategic communication. While my experience as a graphic designer has honed my ability to craft compelling visuals, this role requires me to integrate those design skills with messaging strategies that resonate with diverse audiences. My BTEC in Design and Applied Arts from the Academy of Graphic Technologies laid the foundation for my design expertise, but as a Communication Officer, I leverage that foundation to ensure that every visual element supports clear, impactful, and cohesive communication across all channels.For the past 1 and a half years, I have been working as part of the communications team at the International Rescue Committee, where I design communication materials for the Re:BUiLD program, a humanitarian initiative that helps refugees and displaced people rebuild their lives and livelihoods. I create brochures, flyers, posters, infographics, data visualizations, and presentation templates that effectively communicate the program's goals and impact to various stakeholders, including donors, partners, and beneficiaries. I also design signage and banners for program-related events, ensuring a consistent and appealing visual identity across all platforms and channels.In addition to my current role, I have a decade of experience in graphic design, working for various clients across diverse industries, such as tourism, car rental, and consulting. I have successfully created logos, branding, print and digital media, social media content, photos, and videos that enhanced brand recognition, drove sales growth, and captivated the target audience. I have received rave reviews from satisfied clients and industry peers, who have praised my creativity, attention to detail, and ability to deliver high-quality designs on time and within budget.I am always eager to learn new skills and explore new trends and technologies in the field. With that in mind, I have taken a keen interest in Communications as a whole, helping my team where necessary through photography and videography.
