Transocean – first with EMPAC from 2001 -2003 and then with RMS 2008 to 2009 - Part of a 16-20 person team, travelling individually to various countries/rigs around the world, installing IBM or Sun Micro System Servers, c/w software on all workstations, and Networking Installation and setup, for the companies new Maintenance and Inventory programs. Once installed and running, I then had to spend 2-3 weeks on each rig, training all Maintenance, Warehouse, Supervisory and Management Personnel how to use the Software. This training consisted of one-on-one training at a workstation as well as using a Laptop and Projector in a Conference Room for up to 16 attendees, and everything in between. Also participated in Classroom Training at the companies Training Facilities in Aberdeen, Houston, and Brazil, first as a student, and then later as an Instructor. After these programs were installed and crews trained, I was part of the Optimization / Clean-up Team visiting Regional Offices and rigs, retraining and working on the various rig’s databases for Preventative Maintenance Systems (Creating/Editing Assets, Aligning Tag Parent/Child Tag Structure, creating/editing PM Procedures and PM scheduling, etc). Worked closely with Maintenance Supervisors, training them to efficiently operate the CMMS systemIn addition to CMMS Systems, I have also worked on installation and data conversion of Inventory Data Systems and Trained Warehouse personnel. Included were over 2 years in Norway, working on Norwegian Rigs and in Stavanger, liaising with PSAN/DNV on their CMMS requirements, and discussions about Condition Based Maintenance.
