- Responsible for coordinating the GIS Unit and developing the hydrological GIS, managing to implement the use of GIS in the operational activities, execution of works and preparation of projects.- Provide technical assistance to operational managers, providing useful and timely information for planning and decision making.- Creates a unique spatial data base (debug, correct, compile, normalize and validate) of aqueduct and collector networks and the commercial cadaster.- Correct… Show more - Responsible for coordinating the GIS Unit and developing the hydrological GIS, managing to implement the use of GIS in the operational activities, execution of works and preparation of projects.- Provide technical assistance to operational managers, providing useful and timely information for planning and decision making.- Creates a unique spatial data base (debug, correct, compile, normalize and validate) of aqueduct and collector networks and the commercial cadaster.- Correct and validate the data (graphics and attributes) with experts from different technical and geographical areas.- Search existing cartography of the region, saving time and resources.- Integrates cartography, corrects displacements, transforms from flat projection to U.T.M. and geodetic datum and updated with satellite images.- Performs spatial analysis, 3D modeling and SQL queries.- Design thematic maps, work tools with aqueduct and collector systems, available in digital and printed and in multiple formats.- Design maps of the commercial cadaster and the social area, and community atlas.- Determines the matrix of Information Requirements of the GIS, for the annual plans.- Dictates QGIS software courses to operational staff, allowing the use of GIS.- Develops a multi-sources and multi-scale GIS, configuring the display and output interface with the QGIS software, with the data available through the intranet.
