Working in Group Credit Services - Impairment Operations, overseeing operations of the IFRS9 calculations and models (VM heritage portfolios).

Design of a risk model framework (in SAS); management of its development and implementation to run IFRS9 models. BAU operation as well as maintenance of IFRS9 models.

- Architecture design and implementation for the capital requirements calculation process, complying to CRD IV / CRR regulation, for the Millennium Group; Execution of monthly tasks associated with this process.- Integration of a SAS solution within the organisation’s context (CRMB for RWA calculation and COREP production, SAS Financial Management for FINREP);- Management information generation for both internal and external clients (e.g., the banking regulators for Portugal and Poland). Data analysis and reporting activities (intensive usage of SAS Base and SAS Enterprise Guide).

People Grow: A two year fast-track development programme for high-potential graduates. Several rotations inside the most relevant departments and business areas of the bank provide the members with expertise, being exposed to constant challenges and projects. Each rotation is detailed as a separate project.

Worked in the Software Engineering Group (ESW) at INESC-ID, an R&D company. Our activities gathered around the design, architecture and implementation of an academic information system (in production in several universities) and all its supporting systems. Main themes in the group were software engineering methodologies, software transactional memory, web frameworks and engineering, programming languages design, implementation and usage, and access control. My research focused on Web-applications frameworks, Domain Specific Languages and offline work for Web-applications. Specifically, I worked in enhancing a web application container’s architecture with an content and functionality pre-fetcher, to enable offline work in the client-side. This new architecture was implemented in a J2EE stack, based on of bytecode rewriting techniques.
