Ensures that each well on Corva is ready for our customers to make real-time drilling decisions and requires a laser focus on accuracy and timeliness. Support customers by proactively QCing all data and visuals on Corva and ensuring our clients have the tools needed to make the best decisions possible.

• Responsible for the performance analysis of directional drilling activities and completion of engineering analysis on pre and post well activities.• Responsibility includes the use of engineering software to provide Drill string Integrity Modelling, Vibration Analysis, Hydraulics Analysis, Torque and Drag Analysis, BHA tendencies, as well as provide feedback to internal and external users on best practices.• Provide actionable plans based on resources and professional experience to mitigate problematic well designs, increase operational efficiencies, and develop continuous improvement plan with respect to wellbore integrity and design.• Use all available measurements and specialized tools, techniques and software to establish the exact conditions at any point in the drilling process. Uses his knowledge to optimize drilling rates, improve operational efficiency and minimize the impact of unplanned events.• Pre-well, Real time and Post-well performance analysis and monitoring.• Work directly with the real-time monitoring group. Make decisions based on measurable facts and critically analyzed data.• Prepare and present engineering analysis to both internal and external operations in a way that executable decisions can be derived from the data.• Mentor and develop junior group members in the use of engineering software, theories, and principles so efficiencies can be extended throughout the business unit.• Establish critical workflows for data collection that allow for large subsets of data to be quickly organized and analyzed to maximize operational efficiencies.

• Attend design review meetings as required to familiarize yourself with designs.• Provide feedback to design engineers on methods to be used for improving functionality related to field use and testing requirements.• Provide support to engineering technicians during the manufacturing phase of prototypes to help familiarize yourself with tool components and functionality.• Support technical services manager to create lab test criteria and specification.• Work with engineers and technicians to complete lab testing on all designs to be field tested.• Support technicians on documenting results of lab testing and provide details on issues encountered to design staff.• Support technical services manager in preparation of field test plan, including objectives of the testing.• Co-ordinate with operations to have equipment shipped to location, where it is impractical to transport in pickup truck.• Co-ordinate with additional field tech staff to operate the job during the field test.• Ensure minimal client impact related to field testing of new designs.• Take detailed notes of field testing & verify proper tool operation in field conditions.• Document results of field testing and recommendations on design based on field operations and review with design engineers post-test.• Train operations field staff on new designs, theory and field operation.• Support technical services group for generation of user’s manuals and procedures for field operation.• Support technical services group to generate classroom training program and testing for new field staff related to designs.

Directional Driller at Weatherford, working in the Republic of Congo, Offshore and onshore.

Experience in: “J” type highly inclinated Deep and Shallow Wells, “S” type deep and shallow wells. Build up and navigation in horizontal 2D & 3D wells. Vertical control. Sidetracks in shallow wells, uses rotary steerable system (RSS), Drilling performance with mud motors. (Venezuela)- Uses Directional Drilling computer software and provides advice & analysis to the client representative at the work site. This shall include all survey calculations, well to well clearance calculations, anti-collision analysis and well path projections.- Realization of hydraulics and torque & drag analysis in different well path profiles.- Advises client on Bottom Hole Assembly (BHA) selection and all aspects of Directional Drilling performance- Management of all Directional Drilling equipment at well site including dimensional data and condition. Ensures that all equipment is laid out after use according to company procedures and manifested for backload at the end of the job.- Approved certification to operate Rotary Steerable System, Weatherford’s Revolution® (RSS).- Realization of Bottom Hole Assembly (BHA) Performance Reports used in each well drilled.- Management and control of Drilling Parameters.- Measurement and calibration of all directional drilling tools, setting down hole motor AKO.- Liaison with both offshore and onshore client personnel including attendance of pre and post-job meetings.

- MWD/LWD West Venezuela Coordinator. August – October 2010, August-November 2009. Weatherford Latín América S.A. Ciudad Ojeda, Venezuela.- Installation and maintenance of the sensors, unit and equipment required for the MWD/LWD service in accordance with the client’s specifications.- Running Weatherford’s MWD / LWD tools (Nuclear tools included). Maintenance, calibration, loading and setup of the down hole tools used in the acquisition of the directional, drilling mechanics and formation evaluation measurements.- Interpretation of MWD/LWD directional, drilling mechanics and formation evaluation as part of a service that assists the client in solving operational and drilling problems.- Monitoring and trouble shooting of the signal sent from the down hole software.- Presentation of real-time and recorded mode data both in electronic data to offshore and onshore personnel and in the form of logs and numerical data. Development of logging plan and end of well report.- Training and development of new and existing staff as well as appraisal of the performance of colleagues and recommendations to onshore management concerning additional training or development.- Assisting the directional driller with down hole tools and data, including programming and resetting the Revolution RSS tool whilst drilling.- Observes safe working practices, follows rules and regulations, wears all personal protective equipment (PPE) as required, and corrects and reports hazards immediately.
