I assumed the role of Senior Business Leader (Vice President), Global Network Services in 2006. My tasks involved coordinating activities of a cross-functional global team, responsible for transforming the Virtual Private Network to the Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) Worldwide Network within 30 months while avoiding unscheduled operational impact on worldwide customers. I was appreciated and recognized as a Business Technologist after completing tasks six months ahead of schedule. Moreover, I spearheaded the regional Systems Support Global Information Technology teams to provide automation support for laptops, desktops, servers, mobile devices, and corporate LAN/WAN network for an office consisting of 76 individuals. I used to assess and evaluate performance of several vendors, carriers, and suppliers to identify and communicate areas of concerns/improvements during maintenance of services and vendors’ management performance scorecards. I am responsible for monitoring new trends in technologies to formulate and implement effective hardware technologies refresh strategies. Monitored and maintained performance of Networking Engineering employees, consisting of 56 departmental staff members, contractors, and offshore personnel. Ensured cost effectiveness and saved $16.3 million in telecommunication expense over five years while administering an annual operating network budget of over $43M. Facilitated in developing Offshoring partnership between Systems Support and Network Engineering Services teams to improve coordination and cooperation, resulting in savings of more than $2.3M. Established, strengthened, and maintained strong work relations with customers in different geographical regions to understand business requirements and provide quality/prompt services to enable attainment of strategic objectives.
