Design and implement an application to manage compliance and engineering data emitted from manufacturing lines and automated test fixtures. Application includes a high-volume database, data-collection services, a query and analysis UI, and web services to query database information. Validate the application for FDA GxP compliance under 21 CFR Part 11, writing most of the required documentation. Primary languages and technologies include SQL Server 2012, C# 5.0, .NET Framework 4.5, ASP.NET MVC 4.5 (model first), ASP.NET Web API 2, HTML5/CSS3, jQuery and jQuery UI.Design, implement, test and deploy high-volume, high-security public web applications for the Unemployment Agency of Michigan. Interface with internal and external systems using SOA vehicles such as queues and web services. Primary languages and technologies include C# 1.0 through 4.0, ASP.NET, WCF, XML/XSL/XPath, and Oracle 11.Implement an M2M and cloud solution for a telecommunications company using Axeda Wireless Protocol (AWP) to report information to the cloud data store (Axeda Platform), web services to publish the information, and Flash front end to report to the end users. Languages and technologies included Axeda Wireless Protocol (AWP), C, Linux scripting, PHP, Flex, and Web Services using Java and Groovy.Service a variety of local SMB's using Oracle, SQL Server, C#, Java, HTML, Crystal Reports, and other languages/technologies.

Small company ranging from 4 to 8 employees throughout my tenure. Find new customers (mostly local businesses) needing software and networking services. Service those customers - directly or through the employees reporting to me - by keeping their networks running securely and efficiently, and by customizing or enhancing their line-of-business software applications.Conceived, implemented and marketed a subscription-based remote network administration service to balance the existing break/fix pricing structure.Duties included custom programming, database administration, hardware/networking troubleshooting and resolution, business development, sales and marketing, preparation of quotes for hardware and services.

Helped implement an in-house Defined Contribution benefits accounting system. This high-volume system was written from the ground up using SQL Server at the back end, DCOM objects written in C++ with Active Template Library in the middle tier, and Visual FoxPro and Web (via cgi) front ends. In addition to programming in all tiers, helped with application and database design and assisted employees with Visual FoxPro and SQL Server questions.Worked two or three days on site every two weeks in NYL's suburban Boston office and the remaining days from my home in Southwest Michigan.

Part of a team that maintained the company's flagship dBEV product, a software package that manages accounting, inventory, sales, routes, and supplier reporting for beverage wholesalers. Technical lead in upgrading dBEV to Clipper 5.x, adding functionality and stability to a then decade-old system while reducing the code base from 500,000 lines to approximately 300,000.
