I recently left Sacred Heart University (SHU) in Fairfield, Connecticut after teaching there for 15 years.I taught in the College of Education, was elected President of the Faculty, founded and served as Director of the Center for Urban Policy and Action, and as Director of the university’s Leadership Studies Program. I was appointed to the Board of Fire Commissioners of the City of Bridgeport and was elected President of the Board shortly thereafter. I resigned when I relocated from Bridgeport to Seymour, CT after leaving the University. I have recently been appointed to the Emergency Medical Services Oversight Commission for the Town of Seymour.Prior to joining SHU, I was President and CEO of ACME - the international association of management consulting firms. In 1995 I established Edward D. Hendricks & Associates, Inc. and over the past 20 years I have been a keynote presenter, trainer, workshop facilitator and consultant for hundreds of corporations, professional services firms, and not-for-profit organizations. I have been elected a Fellow of the American Society of Association Executives, and am a member of MENSA, the American Legion, and a Life Member of Disabled American Veterans. I am a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard and served during the Viet Nam War in Japan, on Iwo Jima, and on search and rescue vessels in the north Pacific and north Atlantic oceans..
