Ed currently serves as a corporate board member of AssuranceAmerica, a leading property and casualty insurance company headquartered in Atlanta. Ed remains active in the community and serves on the boards of several nonprofit organizations in the Southeast.Ed has over 40 years of experience in the professional services industry, having served in various leadership positions. He served for 11 years as the Managing Partner for the Atlanta and Birmingham offices of Deloitte. During his tenure, the Atlanta and Birmingham offices grew significantly to 4,200 team members. Deloitte's Atlanta office has been recognized as the top accounting firm in the state by the Atlanta Business Chronicle for the past decade. In addition, Ed served as the National Markets Growth Leader from 2020-2024.Ed also served as the Chief Operating Officer of the firm’s national Clients, Markets & Growth business; led the Atlanta and Birmingham M&A practice; and developed the Atlanta Board of Directors Readiness Program, which equips leading executives with the knowledge and skills needed in the boardroom.Ed's industry expertise includes insurance, consumer and industrial products, financial services and technology.Through leadership roles with significant business and civic organizations, Ed developed deep and meaningful relationships in the Atlanta market. His roles included Chairman of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of the Boys & Girls Club of Metro Atlanta, Campaign Chairman of the United Way of Greater Atlanta, Board Member of the Metro Atlanta Chamber and Chairman of the United Way Alexis de Tocqueville Society.
