Streamlined and IT infrastructure, Cybersecurity and IT operations. Led the modernization effort in the managed IT operation service contract renewal and the adoption of ServiceNow platform to improve efficiency while reducing costs.

A TOGAF certified IT architecture professional specialized in information architecture, manufacturing processes, and ERP. Developed application design framework and participated in improving Systems Development Life Cycle for enterprise architectural governance. Promoted and implemented Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). Led the architecture effort in data management, business processes of finance, procurement, and corporate systems.

Led a group of application engineers to design manufacturing applications. One of the composite applications designed won an Service Oriented Architecture Excellence Award from Inforum in 2005. Represented Truck Manufacturing IT in the corporate Architectural Review Board.

Led Truck Manufacturing Technical Architecture Group to govern and improve qualities of application design and systems architecture for Truck Manufacturing division. Provided technical advices to IT Manufacturing System executives. Guided a RFID research that resulted in multiple published papers in academic journals.

Led a strategic partnership project between Navistar and Baan company to resolve Baan ERP performance problems. Identified and resolved many key performance bottlenecks in ERP processes via application re-engineering. Significantly increased Baan ERP capacity to meet the business requirement of producing 400 trucks a day at a single plant from the initial capacity constraint of 10 trucks a day. This accomplishment foundamentally resolved Baan ERP scalability problems in complex automotive environment and met the expectations from Navistar's board of directors.

Found Navistar ERP development team supporting the customization needed for Baan ERP implementation at a lower customization costs. Created a training program to build Navistar internal Baan application development talents. Developed major interfaces and reports for Baan implementations at truck and bus manufacturing sites in Mexico and US.

Led IT projects to create solutions for truck order-to-delivery visibility, production scheduling software selection, and Baan ERP implementation at a new truck plant in Mexico. During Baan ERP implementation, researched and discovered an ERP data structure that can be mapped into a vehicle from sales, BOM configuration and product costings. That discovery made Baan implementation possible at Navistar's complex automotive manufacturing environment.

Led and managed IT projects to install IT infrastructure as well as automated business and production processes of one of the largest truck modification centers in North America using bar code technology, BI, and turnkey job shop and accounting package. The office automation and system integration projects helped the business grow from 17 millions to 24 millions in sales over a 2-year period.

Responsible for application development in materials management, quotation and order management system, EDI, data warehouse, distribution, and business process re-engineering.
