At Select I built the organisation from a local UK tools company turning over $3m to a global player with $30m of revenue, in just 3 years.

Established the UK distributorship for the SmartStar set of GUI/4GL tools that ran on PC, Unix and VAX (remember those!). Built it to £1.5m in 2 years and sold to Sapiens as part of a bigger transaction with SmartStar.

MSA was then the largest IBM application software company in the world and turned over $20m in the UK. Climbed 'up the greasy pole' from junior salesman (they gave me Scotland and the North East from a Maidenhead base!) to Sales and Marketing Director and then UK MD. Left on acquisition by Dun and Bradstreet as I didn't want to work for an even bigger US corporate but 'do my own thing'

Sales Executive responsible for selling 'bureau services' (the original software as a service / outsourcing model!).Specialised in the Telecoms sector and achieved 300% of target in my second year.
