I have over 40 years of experience as an accounting, auditing, and consulting advisor to emerging and mid-sized businesses. I am the partner-in-charge of the firm’s Funeral Services Industry Group and a member of the firm’s Audit and Attest Committee. I provide a variety of accounting, auditing, tax, and consulting services to closely held businesses in diverse industries. His areas of expertise include business and individual tax planning and optimization, as well as strategic business planning. I am often involved in providing guidance to clients concerning succession, retirement, and estate planning. I also have extensive experience in merger and acquisition activities, including negotiations, due diligence, and structuring of transactions to optimize financial and tax aspects. I am the author of a nationally renowned annual survey of funeral directors, which provides invaluable information on consumer pricing, compensation, and industry trends. The results of this survey are covered in the Forum, the magazine for the New Jersey State Funeral Directors Association; the Director, the magazine for the National Funeral Directors Association; and other industry publications. I also write articles on various business issues, which have appeared in the New York Law Journal, NJ BIZ and New Jersey CPA.
