I have created and contributed to a variety of projects during my time at the University of Limerick. I have also completed an 8-month internship with Thales Nederland which has given me the invaluable experience of working in diverse environments and tackling unique software problems.Some projects I have worked on include:🎥 Developing a live video streaming prototype using Nginx with rotating AES keys and granular access options. I was able to achieve this encrypted streaming with a delay of 8-10 seconds.🚢 Building a web prototype that processed and displayed live AIS data packet streams and simulated ADS-B data on a browser using the Leaflet library, laying the groundwork for software that could aid coastal guards in coordinating both air and water rescues. The system can display up to 100 data points on the browser at any time and the stream was able to capture hundreds of packets per minute.💬 Creating "ComicForger", a Laravel + Vue.js full-stack application, leveraging Docker containers for development. It provides comic authors with a suite of tools for uploading and planning their comics. The results of a user satisfaction survey revealed that 75% of the respondents would use similar software in the future, and 83% said they would recommend similar software to others. ComicForger has also received the Best Final Year Project Award out of 53 students in the course.I become motivated whenever I am able to use the tools and knowledge at my disposal to transform concepts into reality. I find satisfaction in solving challenging problems and iterating on my solutions to achieve better performance and maintainability.I would love to connect with like-minded professionals and am always open to new opportunities.
