Develop story leads throughout my area of eastern Williamson County. Regular beats include the business section and feature stories for East Wilco Insider, and the Hutto ISD and Hutto City Council beat for the Taylor Press in addition to other stories I find or am assigned.

During the pandemic I moved to a small farm in the Austin metroplex area to be near my family. I am regenerating a depleted cornfield, raising honeybees, organic fruit, lavender and herbs to sell through farmers markets.

This role comprises all areas of retail marketing to include development and maintenance of e-commerce, social media strategy and management, site development for brick-and-mortar expansion, management of all advertising and marketing functions for retail stores and e-commerce as well as brand identity development and marketing for a national line of apparel.

Worked directly with authors to determine strategies for marketing their books through social media and self-publishing sites to include Amazon, Goodreads, etc. Develop relationships with influencers and book reviewers, set up special events for the authors, and generate sales of digital books through author pages and other apps.

Lead generation, cold calling and relationship building for customers in the grocery and fancy food industries. National advertising and articles in industry publications. Tradeshow materials and marketing development.

As Creative Director and a writer/producer, I gained experience and insight into many different industries to include banking and credit unions, hospitals and medical offices, retail clothing, technology, automotive, hospice, food industry and more. I provided leadership for the creative department and was instrumental in the creation of an audio/video production studio.
