I hold a Ph.D. in drug development. I have experience in nanocarriers development for gene therapy, Lab-on-a-Chip platforms for biosensors, Point-Of-Care devices, 3D modeling/printing and basic knowledge of arduino programmation. My experience as a scientific researcher is reflected in several publications in prestigious scientific journals, as well my entrepreneurial eager is reflected in different awarded grants. Over the years spent in different research and clinical laboratories, I acquired and developed several skills such as leadership, negotiation, communication, analytical, innovation and critical thinking capacity, which I will continue developing in my future projects.I work well as a team member; I am very reliable and organized, eager to learn, and enthusiastic. Nowadays, microfluidics is expanding rapidly to many applications in the field of rapid analysis, separations, and cell biology, among others. Each application requires different designs, fabrication techniques, integration of surface engineering approaches, flow control systems, sensors, and microfluidic architectures. Moreover, all these are adapted to well-characterized analytical protocols to provide to the researchers and society with analytical devices able to integrate and to automate a sequence of steps from sample preparation and analysis to results reporting. Microsystems integration constitutes a big challenge and requires the coordinated work of a multidisciplinary team. Therefore, I am working on the current state of the art on microfluidics by adopting and developing the newest generation of microfabrication techniques to develop specific workflow designs to integrate different components and protocols developed in our group to produce functional microsystems.
