I work closely with my amiable and visionary Center’s Executive Director, Tami Gouveia to ensure consistency and efficiency across the Center’s domestic and global projects. Together, we develop frameworks, standardize procedures, and refine performance monitoring strategies. We focus on clear communication, capacity building, and strategic planning to enhance effectiveness and impact of labs and projects in the center.

The Elinor Ostrom Fellowship is a one-year, competitive fellowship program awarded to people in PhD programs from any university and any discipline worldwide, including but not limited to economics, philosophy, political science, and sociology.This fellowship aims to expose fellows to the themes of markets, culture, morality, and sociality within the Austrian, Virginia, and Bloomington political economy schools and provide them with the tools needed to utilize this framework in academic research exploring these themes.

Worked on a personal project on women’s leadership in global health. My study seeks to explore the barriers faced by women in the global health sector, and strategies to improve their leadership representation. I am supported by the Frederick S. Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer-Range Future with valuable resources and expertise.

Based on the needs assessment findings, it is our intention to set up a professional network that addresses issues identified gaps, and foster collaboration, mentorship, and peer support among members.

I teach a class of 60+ Masters students at the Boston University School of Public Health on a core course titled, PH720 Individual, Community, and Population Health (ICPH).

Supported the Convener/Founder in planning and implementing activities to engage the mentees. Also, ensured the active engagement of mentees to keep them motivated.

- Worked in key steering committees and projects such as the racial equity steering committee, and the careers in public health project.- Co-developed the health and racial equity guidelines for shared health services in Massachusetts. This is currently being used by towns and county health departments to enhance equity in their processes.- Conducted an evaluation of local health hiring processes in Massachusetts, and provided recommendations currently adapted across the State.

The Frédéric Bastiat Fellowship aims at introducing graduate students to the Austrian, Virginia, and Bloomington schools of political economy as academic foundations for contemporary policy analysis, policy-relevant academic research, and other applied topics. Fellows explore how this framework is utilized for a variety of topics (including entrepreneurship, technological innovation, regulation, immigration, natural disasters and military conflicts, and federal and state fiscal policy) during a series of colloquia where they will interact with Mercatus scholars that work on policy analysis and policy-relevant academic research. Fellows also join a network of Mercatus students, alumni, and scholars who are conducting and engaging with cutting edge research in contemporary political economy.

About PHIS3: PHIS3 is a US Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) funded project to strengthen systems to improve HIV service delivery and other public health interventions through continuous quality improvement, monitoring and evaluation, Surveillance, and Health Informatics in Nigeria. PHIS3 is working with the Government of Nigeria and PEPFAR implementing partners, national and sub-national health managers, health workers, and other stakeholders to strengthen the already existing national data repository and other associated health information systems.My Responsibilities:At PHIS3, I worked under the Health Informatics Unit, and I led requirements gathering efforts for system development or optimization, managed stakeholders’ change requests to inform system modifications, and coordinated task scheduling and tracking. I worked with my team, our funder and partners to continually explore ways of building new solutions and improving the performance of existing ones to provide more value to users at all levels.

Role Description: Worked as Freelance/Independent Consultant from Feb to July, 2021 and as a Full-time Technical Officer - BNYMEP from August to November, 2021 under the St. Catherine's HospitalAbout BNYMEP: BNYMEP is 5-year health initiative and corporate social responsibility (CSR) of the Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) Ltd in its host region - Bonny Island, Nigeria, and is co-funded by the United States President Malaria Initiative (PMI), covering malaria prevention, diagnosis and treatment, social mobilization, monitoring and evaluation and systems strengthening interventions in line with the Federal Health Ministry’s and WHO’s priorities. My achievements:I designed and institutionalized key project intervention strategies: including integrated community case management interventions, provider behavior change initiative for fever case management, including the adaptation of Behavioral Economics prototypes across primary and secondary health facilities. I also developed the project’s M&E plan, capacity building framework, and tools for Integrated supportive supervision, Routine Data Quality Assessment, Commodity management, and data reporting. I supported capacity building activities including training of community and facility-based health personnel on malaria diagnosis, case management, supply chain, M&E, social mobilization and program management. I also facilitated the strengthening of community structures for malaria demand creation.

Worked as a Freelance/Independent Consultant, with a 4-man Consulting team to conduct an appraisal to inform the documentation of Lessons Learned (2015 to 2018) from the e-Voucher and Smart Card Cash Transfer Programming/implementation by development organizations/NGOs providing services to Internally Displayed Persons (IDPs) in North-eastern Nigeria. We developed capacity appraisal tools (Focus Group Discussion guides, Key Informant Interview guides and evaluation sheets), conducted FGDs with beneficiaries at IDP camps and vendors supported by Action Against Hunger (ACF), Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC), ZOA, Catholic Relief Services (CRS) and Premiere Urgente Internationale (PUI). We also conducted Key Informant Interviews with key staff of the aforementioned NGOs and their funding agencies. We collated and analysed qualitative and quantitative data, then generated technical report as well as lessons learned documentation as per the evaluation findings.

About LOPIN3: LOPIN3 was a 5-year PEPFAR/USAID-funded Project managed by a consortium of 4 partner organizations - HIFASS, Project Hope, CAACA, and SUCCDEV, and over 14 sub-grantee CBOs. LOPIN3 supported orphans and vulnerable children, including Adolescent Girls/Boys and Young Women/Men - AGYW and ABYM, as well as caregivers, households, community structures, child protection centers, and the Ministry of Women Affairs in supported regions in Nigeria.My achievements:Technical: Worked with community-based organizations and other local structures to implement Household Economic Strengthening activities, OVCs, households, Adolescent Girls/Boys and Young Women/Men identification (through vulnerability index assessment), training, empowerment and post-support monitoring].- Stakeholder management: Interfaced with relevant stakeholders to keep them involved and updated on project activities.- Resource Mobilization/Cost Share Management: Exceeded the project cost-share target by over 100% by consistent fund-raising, resource mobilization, and public-private partnership activities.- Fixed assets and inventory management, procurement, supply chain and logistics, as well as operations and fleet management.

Worked with existing State Health Technical Working Group to develop a one-year health operational plan with funding from the Saving One Million Lives Program for Results (SOML PforR) scheme. This involved setting up plan development workshops where participants were group per thematic areas to develop and cost activities in line with the 6 pillars of the program, namely: Improving Maternal, Newborn and Child Health; Improving routine immunization coverage and achieving polio eradication; Elimination of Mother to Child Transmission of HIV; Scaling up access to essential medicines and commodities; Malaria control; and Improving child nutrition.Validation and consensus sessions to held with stakeholders, and debriefing meetings done to State gatekeepers, on completion of the assignment.

- Developed State campaign micro plans and training plans- Facilitated training of campaign personnel and provided overall technical oversight for their work.- Coordinated household mobilization, nets distribution, end-process evaluation, and post-campaign LLIN coverage and use survey.- Coordinated daily review meetings with State Implementation teams for timely resolution of bottlenecks.- Supported management and collation of data for the LLIN pre-positioning plan development, as well as reconciliation and reverse logistics planning.

Under the Global Fund New Funding Model Malaria Grant, I provided short term technical Assistance (STTA) for the:- Review of 2015 Operational Plan and Development of 2016 Plan for Malaria Control in Benue State, Nigeria (December, 2015)- Development of 2017 Operational Plan for Malaria Control in Jigawa State (October, 2016)- Development of 2017 Operational Plan for Malaria Control in Katsina State (November, 2016)

I provided short-term technical support as a Freelance/Independent Consultant for the review of the 2016 Edo State Ministry of Health's Annual Operational Plan (AOP) for Malaria Elimination and also developed the 2017 plan. I used review techniques such as the Likert scale for scoring/evaluation of activities based on the status of completion, forcefield analysis to determine enhancing and inhibiting factors that affected implementation performance, as well as proxy indicator analysis, comparative and trend analysis to compare performance across thematic areas' and fiscal years'. I also worked closely with line Ministries, Departments and Agencies, malaria implementing partners, and the State Malaria Elimination Programme team to develop a robust, costed AOP plan that integrates all malaria activities in the State.
