During our mission in Korea I led and supervised a team of 19 personnel and oversaw health, morale, and training, managed the maintenance and accountability of over 134 pieces of equipment, 25 toolsets, and 17 test sets valued at 7.5M. I cross-trained a team of mechanics to multiply the unit’s capabilities and mentored 2 front-line supervisors on proper maintenance operations; directly facilitated the promotion of 1 mentee. I was chosen out 6 non commissioned officers in my maintenance section to supervised 20 personnel with different Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) and 9 local Interpreters to conduct Security Border Patrol missions for the US Army between Afghanistan and Pakistan border I also assisted with the local coalition Afghanistan Border Patrol Police and Afghanistan National Security Forces.I also assisted in the development and implementation of new Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) and the Torkham Gate defense plan. He personally assumed the task of a new equipment fielding and training of the XT Explosives Detector (FIDO), the Ahura first Defender Explosive Detector System (FDEDS), and the tactical Explosive Detection Dog (TEDD).I assisted in creating a streamlined process to utilize the Handheld Interagency Identity Detection Equipment (HIDE) to build a national database of Afghanistan in HIDE enrollments. Also, led, assisted over 50 mounted and dismounted patrols in and around Torkham Gate in support of Task Force Steel Operations.I maintained and established great relationships with the local Afghan with his thorough instruction of the proper methods of personal and vehicles searches and the importance of their execution. He assisted the ANSF in searching over 2,000 cars, buses, and tractor-trailers to help ensure smuggling efforts were denied in and out of the countryI always ensure to conduct a pre-combat checks (PCC's) resulted in zero accidents during his 9 months of combat operations while deployed to the Regional Command -East area of Operations. His leadership has his Soldiers and many distinguished visitors safe and enabled them to succeed in partnership with ANSF and to enhance the security at Torkham Gate.
