Sr. Manufacturing Engineer
Current• Lead and mentor lower level Manufacturing Engineers and Interns to ensure continuous support to manufacturing floor, Estimating, Project Management, Purchasing, CNC Programming, and QA/QC department. • Oversee and provide comprehensive support to Agile Data Management and Oracle. Guide and support Doc Control by validating specs, work instructions, CAD files, drawings, set up sheets, BOMs, OMS. • Support Project Management department by creating detailed step by step Oracle traveler/router for each components and assemblies. Provided upper management with up to date cost analysis for all assemblies and components that undergone complete process change due to the implementation of new fixtures, jig/tooling, and material optimization.• Specializes in continuous process improvement and provide technical support to the shop floor with regards to machines, processes, tooling, jigs and fixtures, operational manual sheet (OMS), work instructions, and factory wide trouble shooting.• Completed several continuous improvement projects that saves the company over a million $/year and ensuring 100% market share of a particular product.• Identifies opportunities for cost and labor-hr reduction through continuous improvement by designing easy to build fixtures and jigs/tooling that ensures the removal of non-value added activity (NVA), cutting back on set up times, operational sequence, standardization of material blank sizes and optimization of material yield.• Supported QA/QC department by actively participating in the Manufacturing Review Board (MRB) and takes a pivotal role in dispositioning of non-conforming components, assemblies and outsourced parts. Provide work instructions for RMA, NCR components and assemblies for traceability and cost management. • Conduct time study to standardize process, remove non-value added work, optimize CNC toolpath, maximize machine efficiency and design fixture/jig models defending on the outcome of the study.
