Hr & Cover Administrator
CurrentCover Administrator:• Administer the diary and arrange cover as required daily for planned activities such as exams, fieldwork, or meetings/events on or off-site liaising with the Senior Leadership Team and staff as necessary, supporting safeguarding obligations at all times.• Work with teacher supply agencies, where cover is not possible internally.• Liaise with staff where ad-hoc bookings/rooming changes are required.• Ensure that all staff absences are accurately recorded with start and end dates in SIMS Personnel.• Support the robust and accurate recording of staff, including supply staff, in the Single Central Record ensuring Ofsted compliance.Human Resources Officer:• Assist in the update and maintenance of the personnel SIMS database.• Ensure the accuracy of recording of sickness absence and associated administrative processes.• Organise and carry out return-to-work meetings to determine if adjustments are required and/or if trigger points have been reached.• Maintain the probationary period, plus days, DBS update service and annual leave spreadsheets.• In conjunction with the HR Manager, deliver the recruitment process from advert through to interview liaising with the Leadership Team and Operations Manager.• Make sure that accurate Job Descriptions are in place for all staff.• Ensure that pre-employment documents are prepared, dispatched, and processed.• Verify paperwork for the school staff checks i.e. Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), Right to Work in the UK, etc.• Support the Induction process for all new starters and the organisation and delivery of the new staff Induction Day in the summer term.• Uphold the school’s duty of care in relation to staff, students and visitors and to comply with the health and safety policy at all times.• See to the compliance with policies and procedures relating to child protection, confidentiality, and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person.
