I implement services that facilitate personal and family readiness and adaptation to life in the military; which assist to keep individuals, families flexible and strong; while preventing individual and family dysfunction and facilitating personal and family self-sufficiency, and creating overall command and community well-being.I provide and coordinate public awareness and prevention campaigns. In addition, I promote programs in support of National Child Abuse Prevention, National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Month of the Military Child and Month of the Military Family, Military Spouse Appreciation, Suicide Awareness Month, and various other theme months in support of military families.I provide family violence prevention and education programs sufficient frequency to ensure that all of the following groups are trained: Commanding Officers, Executive Officers, Commanders, FAP Command POCs, senior enlisted personnel, FAP Incident Determination Committee (IDC) members, service members, chaplains, child care and youth activities staff, installation law enforcement, medical staff and MFSC personnel. Captures and records inputs from participants and provides feedback through our evaluations; surveys, and (FFSMIS) for our Training team to help modify learning events for the FFSC. I promote and build teamwork by working closely with FFSC staff to ensure a positive, innovative, productive, and collaborative learning organization. I am assigned to the Return and Reunion Service Team which plans, coordinates, and executes the delivery of programs at the discretion of command personnel to assist military and civilian personnel assigned onboard ships with re-entry into family and community life at the end of long overseas deployment.

I provide psychoeducation for clients and their families and I assist in creating and implementing individual treatment plans. As the SME I implement Applied Behavioral Analysis treatment plans to decrease nonfunctional behavior such as scripting, aggression, verbal outburst, self-harm, and increase appropriate social skills. I engage clients in educational, behavioral, and life skills activities such as appropriate conflict resolution, time management, and basic employment skills. I consult with identified medical and nonmedical providers, engage community and natural supports, and include their input in the person-centered planning process. My responsibilities also include monitoring and documenting client’s progress to gage the effectiveness of strategies and interventions and to create a plan moving forward.As a PRN therapist, I ensure good clinical judgment to ensure optimum patient care and participate in continuing education activities. My major job functions includes: obtaining assessments; conducting individual/group therapy on assigned cases; completing documentation per policy and procedure; case coordination and coordinating discharge planning.
