FNST Lean Systems Master Black Belt Certification In 1992 FNST began its journey to becoming lean, as a part of that they created an internal certification system that is now used globally throughout the company. The "GROWTTH" (Get Rid of Waste through Team Harmony) program has become well known and respected by both our customers and suppliers. It is a three stage process: first one must achieve Green Belt certification, the move onto Black Belt and finally Master Black Belt certification. Dojo Master As quality initiative Dojo was created and brought to the Americas by NOK our Japanese business partners. Dojo is a process for teaching everyone from the operators on the shop floor to the highest levels of management to look at current process to identify abnormalities that could lead to quality issues, customer complaints or productivity loss. It is a structured review of each process at the model cell level targeting quality and productivity improvements. I wrote the manual for the Americas and was invited to Japan in November of 2013 to receive my certification as Dojo Master. To the best of my knowledge I am the only Dojo Master in the USA and perhaps the only woman in the world.
