As a highly motivated swimming teacher I place great importance on customer care and swimming standards. I am passionate about swimming and willing to go the extra mile to help our customers reach their goals by developing creative and innovative classes.

I was responsible for a number of departments and accountable for profit and loss accounts, driving sales, controlling expenditure, coaching and developing my team, driving customer service standards and maintaining the highest possible operational standards.

I worked closely with and deputised for the Club Manager in all areas of the business including managing club operations, the sales function, the fitness product and team and the service standards to the members. I drove the business through the effective management, coaching and development of the team, ensuring commercial targets and brand standards were achieved and delivering exceptional service to the members.

As Operations Manager I was highly proficient at the operational side of the role, as well as a great Business Manager. I was a well-rounded team player who helped out in all Departments including sales. More specifically, as Operations Manager I was responsible for a variety of teams including the Reception, Cleaning, Maintenance and Life guarding team.

As part of the management team, I played a major role setting up the club from plans to a fully operational leisure facility. This involved setting up procedures, recruitment, marketing, health and safety. This required confident use of computer systems, dealing with telephone enquiries, liaising with builders, contractors and management to ensure we complied with guidelines to ensure company procedures were adhered to.

It was my role to ensure every one of the members' visits was as convenient and enjoyable as possible. I supported every department, ensuring perfect execution of daily club operations so that all facilities and equipment were clean, safe, well presented and functional in line with the brand standards.Maintaining the members system was key to ensuring members data was inputted correctly, direct debits received correctly, appropriate channels of communication used and members notified.

The position of Sports Centre Manager was a key appointment in the development of the facility which operated on a year-round basis, catering for both staff and students from within Whitton School, as well as operating as a commercial facility available for external lets and usage, for sport and physical recreation, by the wider Whitton Community and general public out of school hours.

My role was to ensure that the facility was opened and closed in accordance with procedures, direct and motivate the operational team to ensure a quality service delivery, ensure compliance with statutory requirements and company policies and procedures, maintain a high profile throughout the facility and respond positively to customer needs, expectations and comments.
