QUALIFICATION AND TRAININGI gained basic literacy & numeracy skills through secondary school education and I am willing to undertake training NVQ/ QCF Level 2 in a health related subject since I am eager to climb from one level to another as a health care support worker to a registered nurse.EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGEThrough experience and knowledge I have gained as healthcare worker in both institutions and home based care environment I have worked in, Iunderstand the role of Health Care assistant which is being passionate about her work, maintaining patients' dignity, making them comfortableto mention but a few, that is why I am aware of what is important to a patient.SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES- Communication SkillsI have very good command of written and verbal English which is evidence from what I scored in the English test below:- Listening 5.5,- Reading 6.0- Writing 6.5- Speaking 7.0Overall band score 6.5.That is why I am able to communicate well with patientsand other members of staff face to face as well as over the phone.- Basic IT SkillsSince patient's medical records like test results, prescription, notes from doctors's visit, diagnosis and treatment plan, are updated electronically witheach visit to the hospital or doctors office. I use the basic IT skills I have like word, Excel, email etc to retrieve patient's records and update what fallsunder my role.- Working as part of a teamIt's important to work as a team. I prefer and enjoy working as a team because the work load becomes easier and lighter, also by working in unity withcolleagues, there are very many ideas you can learn from one another since we think differently and have different opinions towards differentsituations.-
