I am Edith Oboh Acquaye, a graduate Environmental and Safety Engineer from the University of Mines and Technology. My program of study has provided me with a strong foundation in technical courses such as Accident Prevention and Control, Safety Technology, Risk Assessment, Hazard Identification and Risk Management, Air Pollution and Control, Environmental Impact Assessment, Environmental Process Engineering, Instrumentation and Control amongst many others. I am passionate about ensuring workplace safety. I desire to apply my knowledge and skills to contribute to health and safety of workers.As a student, I interned at various industrial sectors such as mining , regulatory agency and import and export that provided with hands-on experience . I interned at Goldfields Ghana Limited, Tarkwa Mine , Ghana Ports and Harbour Authority, Port of Takoradi and Environmental Protection Agency, Western Regional Office. I am proficient Microsoft Office. Some of the soft skills include teamwork, communication and ability to work under pressure.I plan to continue my professional development by pursuing relevant certifications and training programs in occupational health and safety such as NEBOSH and OSHA.
