After earning my doctorate in Interdepartmental Physiology from Auburn University, I taught and mentored students, served the institution, and engaged in scholarly work, rising to the the rank of full professor in the Department of Kinesiology and Health Promotion at Troy University. For more than twelve years, I have held several, diverse leadership positions in higher education. My leadership experiences range from the system level to the department level, from graduate programs to general education, from large public to small private institutions. I have supported both a workforce development and liberal arts mission and led curricular and co-curricular initiatives. The diversity of my career attest to my ability to adapt, collaborate, and connect people, passion and ideas to purposeful strategies designed to achieve positive outcomes.
