Edith Yanez is a business consultant and a licensed construction contractor, who loves to teach. Since 2010 Edith has collaborated with many Non-Profit organizations in the metro area of Washington DC, educating the Hispanic Community in business related topics, such as Marketing, Finances, Administration, among others. In 2019 she founded Hispanics in Construction, an online education initiative where Spanish-speakers can learn construction technical skills, English, and prepare the exams to obtain licenses and certifications. After seeing the devasting impact of the Covid-19 pandemic in the Hispanic families, Edith started in 2021 Latinas in Construction. What began as an online initiative to help Latinas to enter in the construction industry by becoming Construction Estimators, is now a source of guidance, inspiration, and support for hundreds of Latinas across the US. The educational program is currently offering 15 different classes. The trainings are affordable and there are scholarships available for women in financial need. The English program is free for all students. Edith’s educational background includes a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business Administration from Chile, a Digital Marketing Certificate from the University of San Francisco, and a Certificate from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in Branding. Edith speaks English, Spanish, and German. Edith lived in Munich, Germany from 2001-2009.
