I am a nationally recognized award winning editor and journalist who started an underground newspaper in my high school that the administration worked for over a year to shut down. Ever since my first newspaper job in a small Texas town, powerful storytelling is all I’ve ever wanted to do. I come from a family of storytellers. The stories from my father and his brothers are legendary. Some are even true. And ever since my first newspaper job in Athens, Texas, all of I’ve ever wanted to do was tell stories; first as a photographer/writer, then an editor and now I’ve come full circle and I’m back to writing. One thing I’ve learned is that you can retire from your job but you can't retire from your passions. They feed the soul. So now, I’d like to help other people tell their important life stories. Nothing feels better than a lasting keepsake of your appreciation like a well-written tribute. From birthdays to memorials there is so much to write about and I’d like to get started. I’m looking for part-time work editing and/or writing.
