During this time, I:* Delivered a human services Provider Management system intuitive and economical enough to close its first organizational sale within a month of release to market, with 3-4X opportunity growth every month since. * Built the unified reporting and analytics capabilities for the platform, to help practitioners and agencies meet federal requirements and make policy decisions driven by data that reflects the real experiences of the people they serve.* Guided the domain research, data modeling and architectural plans for the transformation of the Casebook child welfare product into a micro-service platform for all human services.* Coordinated the roadmap for all products within the provider management portfolio across four other product teams for Intake, mobile and web portal channels, core and configuration services.* Mentored other product managers in the human services domain and Casebook's best practices for product management and design specifically for that domain.

I guided the team building the new emergency response system for California's Child Welfare Digital Services. The new service managers and product owners are quickly learning how to employ user-centric design and Agile practices to create solutions that will help caseworkers and administrators make the best decisions to improve outcomes for vulnerable children and families.During this time, we:* Delivered a tool to social workers to cut in half the amount of time spent researching a family's past involvement with Child Protective Services.* Designed and built the Intake software for child welfare abuse cases, from initial hotline reports through a complete investigation and initial assessment for services.* Created a strategic product roadmap for the entire replacement child welfare system and its implementation in the field, with measures of success based on practice and outcomes for children in care.* Trained state-employed Product Owners and Service Managers (previously social workers and other agency administrators) to independently gather requirements, maintain the roadmap, manage scope, draft user stories, work with research and design teams, and lead a team of agile developers* Quadrupled the amount of design research and testing in just two months by training subject matter experts (field social workers) to conduct usability testing, interviews and card sorts

CaseBook uses family-centric design and agile practices to help caseworkers and administrators make the best decisions to improve outcomes for vulnerable children and families.

I planned the content and user experience for monthly topics on the world's largest online corporate education platform -- serving over 400,000 employees and partners -- and earned the Ragan Employee Communication Award in 2015. Think Academy breaks down complex technology subjects so employees can understand how they work and the strategy behind them, with the goal of both educating and driving culture change.During my time with the project, I had the opportunity to:* Plan and coordinate the delivery of nearly 20 topics.* Facilitate the daily stand ups, bi-weekly sprint planning (48 total iterations), retrospectives, and feature demos between two agile teams: content production (writers, graphic designers, videographers) and platform developers and UX.* Perform user research and lead collaborative design sessions to develop new content series and new platform features that would make the experience more personalized and the learning more effective * Research and write quite a lot of content, from animated videos on the Internet of Things, to offerings portfolios for the company's global consulting services, to strategic position papers for cloud and security.
