Project#2: Fios TV settop box – Motorola, CISCO settop boxFiOS TV service, operating over a fiber-optic communications network offered by Verizon delivers the power of fiber directly to homes and harnesses the capacity and reliability of fiber optics to create a television experience that is unsurpassed. Fiostv features HD graphics,interactive program guide, media search, DVR, Video on demand and games on demand etc. For this the light weight ,the reliable, more interactive and high performance application have to be implemented on the settop box for the better usability experience. Tasks Handled:▪ Designed and implemented media search in the settopbox. Media search allows users to quickly access the favourite programs by searching through the keywords , media type and by interests. ▪ Designed and implemented Program Infobar. Infobar displays all the program information and on screen progress of the live tv, video on demand and recorded play back. It handles all tv interactions tuning,trick plays, record ..etc.▪ Provides solution for building search as pluggable component in the settop box ( Component will be downloaded and plugged in to the Settop box application). Project#3: IOBICLient IOBI Client is the desktop application compelling mix of next-generation call management, unified messaging, personal-information management and productivity-enhancing features application where users will receive notification of incoming calls via a pop-up on their computer ,Call forwarding , Find-Me-Follow-Me, Call history, Email services , Address book , Instant messaging and File sharing…etc Tasks Handled:▪ Designed and implemented Notification server, client for Call popup. IOBI client connects to the notification server which in turns connecting to the Telephonic exchange device - alerts the notification server whenever a new call is received, or a change in call status and it sends out the notification information to the appropriate client for a telephonic number.▪ Implemented features call management, call history and Address book. Call management feature maintains all the incoming/outgoing/forwarded call information and it displays these information to the user.
