Responsible for full administration and end-to-end design of central university PaaS (Platform-as-a-Service) infrastructure (and some SaaS) for Horizon View and AirWatch/Workspace One environments. Works with constituent colleges to develop and implement datacenter-to-user virtualization. ● Full system design including relational database design, infrastructure design, OS choices, capacity planning, server sizing, transaction severs, server mirroring and load balancing, fault-tolerance, data integrity, system security, testing.● Trains and onboards constituents as well as providing advanced level troubleshooting and resolves change control/implementation issues. ● Develops technical documentation and environment policies and procedures. ● Develops pricing and calculates capacity requirements for constituents. Orders and installs hardware. Hardware includes Dell, Cisco, HP, Nimble, Synology, SuperMicro. ● Manages and maintains parent images and Application delivery for colleges with S.L.A. for full virtualization management. This includes installing software, drivers, printers, etc. at their request.● Develops the creation of comprehensive end-to-end enterprise application architecture RoadMap and Content Repository for all application solutions that adhere to established policies, procedures, practices, and defined playbooks.● Makes recommendations for scalability, constituent requirements, and resource planning.● Implemented Disaster Recovery plan (Veeam) for management infrastructure that is triply redundant which includes, tape, offsite transfer, and local transfer through proxy.● Monitors and resolves system wide issues and handles tickets with product vendors. ● Installs or coordinates installation of patches and releases on development, test, pre-production and production systems

Responsible for system-wide server administration and basic help desk management. Responsible for entire virtualized environment and vSphere management. Remediates security risks and develops documentation for internal IT and end-users.● Team lead for all virtualization and virtualized servers and server infrastructure. ● Generates documentation for IT professionals regarding internal hardware and software as well as end-user documentation.● Plans and orchestrates system-wide settings and automation using Group Policy, PDQ Deploy, PDQ inventory, Issuetrak auditing, custom PSExec scripts, and baseline deployment saving an estimated 20 labor hours per software rollout.● Evaluated, tested, and implemented requests of higher-level management such as Bitlocker, Exchange Active Sync, Office 2013, Office 2016, Windows 8, Surface Tablets, and more.● Manages and maintains vSphere 5.0 environment containing 60 servers. Servers include: Windows (2003-2012 R2), Linux, AIX, Centos with focus on Windows, Linux, and Centos.● Responsible for health, management, and organization of Active Directory and domain controllers.● Utilizes Nagios monitoring alerts and responds to alerts and emergencies accordingly.● Developed a test domain network for testing of windows updates, group policy, and other system wide changes. The test domain features a domain controller, dhcp, dns, NAT, group policy, file server, and client devices.● End-to-end design and implementation of deployment strategy for new machines using Microsoft MDT. ● Remediated 100% of pen test security results conducted by an independent contractor.● End-to-end disaster recovery design and documentation using Veeam.
