Taylor is developing embedded electronics for photovoltaics. After a successful proof of concept they are now entering the scale-up phase. With his extensive experience in scaling up processes in the electronics market, Edjoe supported Taylor by mentoring the team in operations and getting their first products on the market.

He led in a hands-on way various projects, including the implementation of a product development process (PDP), the selection of the EMS supplier for the electronic driver units, setting up the quality management system and the implementation of the manufacturing execution system (MES). Besides this he was responsible for the demand and capacity planning processes, and the order fulfilment-, purchase-, and warehouse management processes. Technology Labs is an open access facility in the field of micro- and nano technology and life sciences. My role was to support the customers in their time to market objectives by fast realization of Proof of Concept. He implemented a new strategic direction, encompassing the implementation of development- and pilot electronic manufacturing services for healthcare devices.

Change manager. Leading and implementing the change process of a vertically organized IT group encompassing all (i.e. generic and business specific) services towards a shared service group by integrating generic services in Corporate Philips IT group and specific services in Research specific group.

As industrial manager I was responsible for reducing manufacturing cost price of the existing RF products and for smooth introduction of new products at foundries world-wide. The activities also included demand planning, logistics and distribution. Besides this I was responsible for the industrial roadmap and for the global implementation of industrial projects on overall reduction of cost.

CFT was the Philips’ support center on IC packaging and printed circuit board assembly of electronic components. I implemented the new strategic direction and technology roadmap, encompassing the integration and miniaturization of electronics.

R&D facility on IC technology (100 nm). Supported the transfer of the IC research program to IMEC, while managing the continuity of the execution of the existing programs.

Responsible for delivery reliability. Implemented the new factory lay-out based on flow line. Implementation of product quality improvement projects. Successfully transferred new technology to Susumu (Japan).

Factory for notebook LCD panels. Build up the engineering group from scratch (from 5 to 75 people, 24/7 operation), and led factory yield improvement.

Successfully reached Approval for Pilot Production (APP) status for 1 um process for logic applications. As section head co-guided the release of new sub-micron technology generations.
