I have over twelve years of experience as a user, administrator and developer of Axiom EPM and similar budgeting and reporting systems. Specific experience includes; building and modifying plan files and reports; overall administration of the system; building ETL imports and exports; designing and implementing report distribution methods; and training users. I've also developed apps from beginning to end, and managed projects involving inside and outside resources.A strong and varied background in Accounting and Technology has given me a unique perspective on systems and reporting.I am resourceful, creative and a determined problem solver. I like to use things in new ways and to find ways to improve them. i have a strong bias for learning and am comfortable working in remote, on-premise and blended work settings.A quick summary of my background:- An internship during college gave me an introduction to most functions of a corporate accounting department.- Upon graduation, I joined Ernst & Young where I participated in audits and special projects, prepared corporate and personal tax returns, and provided consulting services to small businesses and non-profit organizations.- I passed the CPA exam in my first sitting in Wisconsin and was later licensed in Tennessee (license is currently inactive). - From 1992 to 1999, I worked for HCA, first in Internal Audit and then as a Financial Analyst and Controller in Group Operations. While in Group Operations, I developed and streamlined many reports and processes and was an early adopter of Intranet, BI and other tools.- Since 1999, I have been an independent consultant serving many clients including LifePoint Health, HCA Physician Services and Psychiatric Solutions. I've also studied programming and various reporting systems.- Over the last twelve years, I have become an expert user / developer of the Business Objects Planning / SRC reporting platform (built on SQL and Microsoft Excel) and the Axiom EPM platform.- In 2019, LifePoint Health hired me to work with them full-time on optimizing their usage of Axiom.
