The LUCA Appeals Officer - GIS/Business Analyst is responsible for receiving and reviewing submissions provided in computer readable format and using GIS and or satellite imagery to determine the validity of provided addresses. The LUCA Appeals Officer - GIS/Business Analyst assists the Director/Deputy Director in the final decision making process. • Processed LUCA (Local Update of Census Address) appeals cases for the 2020 US Census• Analyzed address information and documentary evidence provided by Local Update of Census Address participants to support their appeals• Managed the files provided to the Appeals Office through the National Processing Center (NPC) with preparation of files for return to the Census Bureau conveying results of the appeals• Provided frequent updates to senior staff on workflow progress including progress of staging staff in the NPC• Reached decisions whether to accept or reject the appeals based on an evaluation of the quality of the evidence provided• Used TOAD for Oracle Database to query data from the Decennial Information Technology Division tables• Produced documents for multiple contacts with LUCA Appellants -
