I have worked in various roles in the geothermal industry since 1982...as an installing contractor, an equipment distributor and a manufacturer. Pioneered the use of heat pumps over 60 large low temperature applications, including ice arenas and thermal ice storage systems with heat recovery. Working on several ambient temperature district energy systems to connect buildings with diversified heating and cooling loads.I provide training for the design and optimization of geothermal systems for commercial and residential applications. I am a Certified trainer for the International Ground Source Heat Pump Association for both the Certified GeoExchange Designer course for commercial ground coupled heat pump system design and the Accredited Installer Course for residential designers and installation contractors. I provide scheduled courses in a classroom setting as well as online training courses as required. I also provide private, in-house training courses for individuals and companies wishing to develop their expertise in ground coupled heat pump system design and implementation. I also provide training in the use of Ground Loop Design (GLD) software as requested.Accredited instructor and author of the Certified GeoExchange Designer (CGD) Commercial Geothermal System Design Course for the International Ground Source Heat Pump Association (IGSHPA) and Association for Energy Engineers (AEE). Instructor for the Accredited Installer Course for IGSHPA and the National Association for Technician Excellence (NATE)I work as a consultant to building owners, developers, architectural and engineering firms to determine the feasibility of installing ground coupled heat pump systems and ground heat exchanger systems in their projects. I will provide design review and forensic analysis of ground coupled heat pump systems and provide recommendations for remediation of poorly operating systems.
