Project Manager / Lead DeveloperDigitalnation 1998 - 2000For the American Gas Association, Mr. McCormack analyzed the AGA’s needs to communicate more actively with their member companies, and to more effectively distribute their tracking of Underground Gas Storage Data (UGSD), a leading indicator and impetus of natural gas markets which is released precisely at 3pm each Wednesday. Mr. McCormack redesigned their system, upgrading them to a database driven dynamic website which called for a new normalized database structure, and the pooling of information from disparate databases. He also consolidated their user, subscription, and member information from disparate databases and created an effective interface for the AGA to effectively manage their thousands of users, as well as consolidate all of its online revenue streams from online web sales, subscriptions to specific information, online event bookings, and member subscriptions. Mr. McCormack delivered a custom database publishing system that allowed the AGA to more easily publish their information from internal staff and analyzed and executed strict security requirements to protect the UGSD. Mr. McCormack was an invited member to the AGA IT Committee and helped steer the IT efforts of the Association.For the Personal Communication Industry Association, Mr. McCormack analyzed and defined the requirements to transform the association’s LiveLink system, which allows users to submit the Form 600 to the FCC to reserve radio frequencies, a desktop application to a simpler web-based application. Mr. McCormack delivered a full-life cycle product that allowed paid PCIA subscribers to fill out a complex government form to request radio frequencies, and then bundled this information into an AS/400 readable format for submission to the FCC. Information on the status of submissions was returned from the FCC and allowed users to check the status of their filings in the current tool.
