Responsible for data engineering, data visualisation and application development for AIG's Data Science team.Key achievements:- Led delivery and adoption of a complex 50TB, 25bn transaction Oracle data platform to support feature engineering for predictive modelling and advanced analytics. Migrated to IBM Netezza- Successfully implemented Agile across data engineering teams (Scrum and Kanban work-streams) in London and New York

Provided Business Intelligence delivery, strategy and leadership to Chevron’s Australian Business Unit.Key achievements:- Delivery Lead for Business Intelligence for the Gorgon gas project, Australia’s largest resources development project. This involved on-time, on-budget delivery of quality BI solutions in a complex technical environment with numerous vendors, system integration partners and internal stakeholders.- Initiated and led the first phases of the design and delivery of an Executive Dashboard.

In charge of Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, Enterprise Information Management, Enterprise Performance Management and Master Data Management across the RAC Group.Key achievements:- Building a Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing team.- Design and delivery of an Enterprise Data Warehouse to support advanced customer analytics capabilities as well as deliver a good practice platform to support future information needs.- Selection, and successful delivery of an Enterprise Performance Management Platform. This provided significant improvements in the quality of management information, the timeliness of financial data, and the forecasting capability of the organisation.- Successful delivery of a Customer Master Data Management proof of concept. The success of this proof of concept has led to a major business and technology change programme.

Responsible for the strategy and architecture for Business Intelligence within the RAC Insights function. Also responsible for the delivery of data and information to support the needs of marketing, finance, human resources and operations.Key achievements include development of a Business Intelligence technology roadmap, implementing significant data warehouse performance improvements and being seconded to manage the Insights function.

Reporting to the Retail General Manager, I managed a team of 15 people to provide the ‘single source of truth’ for the RAC.The Insights team consisted of business analysts, management accountants, market researchers and data experts and provided all of the business analysis, market research and management reporting for the organisation.The incumbent in the role was undertaking an overseas secondment.

Looked after the Business Intelligence team for the Scottish Client Services Division, responsible for consulting across all major BI technologies.Key engagements included two large data warehousing projects for National Australia Bank (NAB) to support calculation of mandatory capital requirements using the Basel II Accord Standardised and IRB methodologies.Also involved in pre-sales activity at Scottish Widows and the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS).

Built a Business Intelligence capability and team, providing enhanced operational, people, financial, and safety reporting at all levels of the organisation. This involved selection and implementation of a BI platform and a data warehouse.

Responsible for the processing of customer data for analytics, and targeted marketing campaign fulfilment.
