During the first 20 years of my CRE career, I chiefly represented national/global property owners of institution grade industrial & high-tech business parks. During this time span, several hundreds of Silicon Valley industrial/R&D transactions were successfully completed during an accumulated leasing and sales of 12.4 million square feet of building spaces in Silicon Valley business parks. Over this 20 year period of licensed CRE practice in Silicon Valley, multiple real estate cycles occurred including at least 3 significant recessionary cycles whereby landlords were at times desperate to attract tenants to occupy long standing vacancies.
