My story is not unlike many other people that grew up in less than favorable circumstances. Without going into too much detail, let’s just say that by the time I was an adult, I was in no condition to deal with life on life’s terms. In 1978, I found myself headed back to the violent, chaotic, impoverished neighborhood I grew up in after a failed attempt at a life in the military. On the bus ride across the U.S., I read a book by Wayne Dyer. I was suddenly inspired by the possibility that I could gain better control of my life and my outcomes. From that point forward, I worked on the various issues that haunted me. PTSD, abandonment, abuse, addiction, poverty… I discovered that information about any struggle I had was available. Finding the information was the easier part. Implementing what I found into my life and behavior however, was the real challenge, for me and pretty much everyone else. So I set out to solve that problem. I read thousands of books on the subject. Neuroscience, psychology, every new trend in personal development. I went to workshops, seminars, gurus, therapists, and mentors. As it became clearer to me that the brain is flexible and that the brain can change in a controlled way using functionality that already exists in our physical makeup, I began working with people individually to help them make adjustments in their lives the same way I had in mine. Now, I am focused on using technology to provide tools that allow anyone with an internet connection to change their thinking and therefore, their outcomes. I’ve had many successes in my life. I do believe however, that this work, providing tools that augment personal growth endeavors on a massive scale is my calling and is the reason I’ve been blessed with the amazing life I have today.
