Manage helpdesk office in School of Chemical Sciences. Helpdesk activities include both remote and face to face meetings. Responsible for keeping abreast of standard PC configurations supported by School of Chemical Sciences. Procurement, imaging and installation of systems for staff faculty and graduate researchers. Knowledge of Windows XP through 10 is required as well as some knowledge of the various Mac OSs. Coordinate the Atlas Care program at School of Chemical Sciences intended to refresh all departmental PC systems every 5 years. Meet with each individual to recommend system that will best meet their needs and suggest needed modifications to standard configurations. Once ordered and received, systems imaged with Windows 10 and Office 365. All user specific data is migrated to the new machine during deployment of the new equipment.Other duties require management of the hubs and networks for the various departments within the School of Chemical Sciences. Assignment of IP addresses using IPAM, Switch management using IRIS and image management using MECM. Assistance with machines that monitor research specific hardware and software.
