Support enterprise-wide stress testing through the use of SQL and SAS platform, by streamlining and automating processes to reduce the reliance of performing large data calculations in Excel

Create figures and cover design for an optimization textbook using LaTeX and Tikz, based on description and sketches, adjusting colours and styles as necessary to ensure consistency throughout the textbook. Efforts were made to ensure that the figures are legible in the regular digital (RGB), dark mode, and print (CMYK) versions of the book. Also generated examples that illustrates the optimization concepts presented within the chapters.

Develop and implement predictive models for use in Royal Canadian Navy frigates in order to perform predictive maintenance using Python, pandas, and SQL

As an engineer as part of the Advanced Aerodynamics group, my primary responsibility was validating and improving the structural code (written in C++) that is used within the preliminary multidisciplinary optimization (PMDO) framework. I was able to increase the accuracy of the wing weight predictions given by this tool, which allows for more accurate weight and drag trade-off during the multidisciplinary optimization. I also improved the FEM automatic generation, reducing the effort needed when transferring designs to the Advanced Structures group.

As part of the Business Initiatives team, I had the opportunity to work on improving the efficiency of the business process. This includes introducing best coding practices such as regression testing of code changes in the stress testing platform, and version control of the stress testing models. I initiated a graphical and interactive approach to visualize the large data sets from the execution of the stress testing models, with drill-down and filtering abilities using SAS Visual Analytics.

I supported the execution of regulatory US and Canadian credit risk stress testing (DFAST, CCAR, EWST, MST), through implementation and testing of stress models. I also provided quantitative data analysis support to the business users through ad-hoc reports using SQL and the SAS platform.

Performed conceptual and preliminary aircraft design optimizations in collaboration with Bombardier Aerospace as part of the Green Aviation Research and Development Network (GARDN). The goal of the project is to reduce the environment impact of aviation by considering different aircraft concepts. Tools were developed (in C++ and python) in order to perform multidisciplinary aerostructural optimization of conventional and unconventional regional aircraft configurations, though the use of FEM structural models and various fidelity CFD analysis. Certification requirements such as FAR-25 were taken into consideration.

As part of the Multidisciplinary Design Optimization research group, I performed research involving the study of structural topology optimization, including stress constraints and design dependent loads such as pressure and self-weight.I supplemented the in-house structural analysis tool, written in C++, and also published papers in the field of structural topology optimization.
