Employed as an independent contractor for State Farm Insurance to handle catastrophe property claims. As an independent adjuster, I was compensated on a per inspection basis, which forced me to be efficient, accurate and reduce the number of phone calls, re-opens and 2nd inspections.While settling the majority of my claims on first contact and face to face, I was able to increase my productivity over 30% while virtually eliminating all errors by developing a form filling tool that I implemented on every deployment. I was consistently in the top 5% of earners for this reason.As a trainer, I taught new adjusters my system for handling property claims and was instrumental in helping many people have long and successful careers as independent adjusters.
