The primary objective of this study cum internship was to evaluate the effectiveness of existing employee statutory welfare measures such as; working conditions, social security, drinking water facilities, transport service, heating/cooling system, compensation, and propose recommendations for improvement.

Worked under the Maintenance Section of its workshop, underwent jobs like changing engine oil, fixing/replacing brake shoes, coolant leak, air pressure loss in air horn etc. In addition, we were imparted practical knowledge regarding working and maintenance of trains
